Well, we are SURE you took care to be well over the summer break, but welcome back anyway!
We would love to hear what you did over the break to stay happy, healthy, and fit!
We created a dance mix that required everyone to pay attention and listen closely!
Fitness Friday is a quick one today. We are introducing a great exercise for when you have limited space to workout (bedroom, hotel room, ...). It is called Low Jacks. This exercise is a version of a Jumping Jack, but you keep your knees bent - like in a squat position and perform them. There is more than one version of this exercise. Click HERE for one trainer's version. Enjoy!
We did a little brain break/work your body exercise this morning. Here's what we did (you try it): we started by slowly rolling our shoulders to loosen up. Next, we held out one arm and made a giant circle with it. Then we made a giant circle with our other arm. Now the challenge; hold both arms over your head and begin moving one arm in a circle forward and the other arm in a circle backwards! Can you do it?
Challenge two is to balance on one foot while moving your arms in two directions. The next challenge is to move your arms in the other direction...so, if your right arm was going forward and left going backward...do the opposite!
Because we all needed a refresher with positive interactions and making good choices, Mrs. Sanchez led our campus in an exercise of kind interactions. Remember: you can never truly get back the unkind words you say. Take a second and think before you react!
A short and very sweet video today called Get Loose from Koo Koo Kangaroo! Click here !
